Neuro Reasons for Growth

The fuel for achievement

What is NRG? Stop for a moment and say those three letters fast. What do you come up with? That's right "energy." Energy is very important if we are to do all the things necessary for success. If you want to get a black belt in whatever you do, you will need a lot of energy. It's easy to notice the people who have lots of energy; they seem to get everything done. Where do they get all that energy? Have you ever been energized? So you know it's possible right? Now all you need to do is tap into it. From what 3 areas can you get energy using the science of synergy? Through - Mind, Body, and Spirit.

What type of identity do you need to create to become energized. An energized person does not simply wake up one day as "captain vitality." They have control of it. Energy that you would want in this instant is also not going to be solely based on your diet and exercise. How can you have lots of energy right now? Just like we talked about before with the mind body connection, physiology can be used. If you change your posture, breathing, and movement to that of an energized state, you will get energized. Another way would be to eat and live healthy so that as the days go by you have an energy reserve. Cheeseburgers and fries are not optimum brain food. Food is energy, yet eating food takes massive amounts of energy to digest. So the more energy you want after eating will be determined by the way you combine your food.

Another way of attaining energy is breaking NRG into its three components: Neuro Reasons for Growth. One way to get energy is to find all the reasons why you want to achieve something and then write them down.

Next, Neuro Reasons for Growth is necessary for us to repeatedly attempt the same task. For example, if you were to attempt a diving triple flip and you ended up crashing horribly, that kind of rejection might be enough to keep you from performing challenges in the future. However if you refuse to link it emotionally, it will have no effect. Failing once or twice does not make you a failure. You are not your mistakes. Let's say that as soon as you get up, you were to scream, "YES!" Then make a fist and shake it like you've just hit the jackpot. This type of action will send different signals to your brain. The result is that you will not link any limiting behaviors to actions that are required for success. Instead, you will link joy and excitement. I call it creating a Neuro Reason for Growth.

We consistently create little negative Neuro reasons not to do things. What we want to do is start creating positive Neuro Reasons for Growth. If you get into a bad situation and react as if you're getting a knife in the heart, then you will have a harder time continuing to grow. So in order to have energy for doing something consistently, you will need to have strong Neuro reasons; really good Neuro associations that will push you in the direction you want to go. Creating NRG is the same as creating an anchor (see MBS). You need to create a link. Take some time out now and figure out what you can do to maximize your NRG.
